MageEnv ("MageEnv", "we", "us", or "our") provides on-demand, hourly-billed Magento development environments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and dashboard (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase, using industry standard hashing - we never see or store your plain-text password). If you sign up or update your profile, we may also store your name.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We store the order amount, currency, status, and Razorpay's order/payment identifiers so we can reconcile your purchases and provision your environment. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or other raw payment credentials - those are handled entirely by Razorpay.

Environment access credentials

When you provision a Magento environment, we generate and store the access credentials for that environment (store and admin URLs, admin username/password, SFTP host/username/password, database name/username/password, and CLI/SSH access details) so we can display them to you in your dashboard. These credentials are scoped to your disposable sandbox and are removed or invalidated once the environment expires.

Usage and technical information

Like most web services, we automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps of requests, primarily for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

Support communications

If you contact us through the live chat widget on our site, that conversation is handled by our third-party support provider, Tawk.to, which may collect information you choose to share in that chat (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account.
• To provision, monitor, extend, and expire your Magento environments.
• To process payments and maintain billing records.
• To provide customer support.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• To improve and maintain the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with the following providers so they can perform services on our behalf:

• Supabase - authentication and database hosting.
• Razorpay - payment processing.
• Tawk.to - live chat customer support.
• Our infrastructure/provisioning partner, which receives your order ID and email address in order to build your Magento environment.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (to keep you signed in) and to remember your theme preference. Our live chat provider, Tawk.to, may also set its own cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Environment access credentials are retained only for the lifetime of that environment and a short period afterward for support/billing purposes, after which they are deleted or invalidated. Billing records are retained as required for accounting and legal compliance.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
